I want to give a big thanks to NetGalley, Quill Tree Books, and Tiffany D. Jackson for providing me with an ARC of this incredible book!
The Scammer starts like any normal book. I was figuring out the world and the characters I would follow throughout the story. Then, Devonte came along. The story grabbed hold of me and would not let go. It was almost painful to pry my eyes from the pages. The book was intense, and after that point, it remained intense until the very last page.

The book was so emotional. I was pissed at the characters one second and giddy with how cute the romance was the next. The romance has to be one of my favorites, which is unexpected from such a horrifying book. It was a wild ride from beginning to end.
The end had a twist that pulled the floor out from under me and made me rethink everything that happened throughout the entire novel. I expected nothing less from Tiffany D. Jackson. Then, there was yet another twist that felt unnecessary. It reminded me of Monday's Not Coming and Allegedly but felt too unbelievable for this story. Because of that, I dropped my rating to 4.5 rather than 5 but I'll be rounding up for apps that don't provide half stars!
I will most definitely be recommending The Scammer to people š
